HI.
I'M ARUN.
Chef. MBA. HR professional. Scuba instructor. Not necessarily in the order you'd expect.
I didn't grow up dreaming of becoming a scuba instructor.
I started out as a chef, went on to do an MBA and spent seven years working in Human Resources. A move to the Philippines eventually introduced me to diving — and somewhere along the way, what began as something I enjoyed became something I wanted to understand properly, and eventually teach.
I became a scuba instructor in 2021 and have since taught and dived in the Philippines, the Maldives and across India.
I started Naik Scuba Academy in Chennai in March 2024, with a fairly simple idea: I wanted people in India to have access to the kind of thoughtful, personal dive education that I believe creates good divers.
For now, when you learn with NSA, you learn with me.
The team will grow.
